Today the Senate Judiciary Committee heard from Department of Justice Inspector General Glenn Fine, who’s independent audit revealed that Bush administration political appointees violated federal hiring practices and civil law. These appointees used political affiliation as a hiring criteria when selecting career government lawyers.
